After finding his own way to dial down the constant "what-ifs"—mostly through sheer stubbornness and probably too much coffee—Joe figured others might need a similar escape. That's why Battle Rattle Distillery was born.

Battle Rattle is focused on crafting quality spirits. But we also happen to believe that making good whiskey can go hand-in-hand with supporting our community. We focus on supporting veterans, first responders, and anyone else who needs a break from the daily grind and a chance to connect. We figure if we can make a decent drink, we can also build a community around it. You won't find any complicated rules or forced smiles here; we just aim to offer a place where you can just be, without judgment. Or at least, without too much judgment.
